Program Description

Description

The title for this month is Blood Oath by Linda Fairstein.

Alex Cooper takes on the case of a young woman who testified years earlier at a landmark Federal trial who now reveals that she was sexually assaulted by a prominent law enforcement official during that time. As the case grows more complex, Alex, along with her NYPD detective comrades find themselves in Manhattan's century-old institution, Rockefeller University. When they experience life-threatening events, Alex is faced with keeping her job or becoming the next district attorney of New York County – if she can survive that long.

Join us for Murder by the Book, the library's mystery book discussion group, which meets in-person on the first Thursday of the month from January through November at 10:30 am. Participants will discuss a selected book from different mystery authors. For fans of mysteries of all kinds—from cozies to spy thrillers! This book discussion is led by Adult Services Librarian Kelly-Ann Gardella.

Many of the book discussion titles can be downloaded via the library's Hoopla or Overdrive services. Check for video instructions on using Hoopla. Print copies are available at the library for most book groups. Call 203-438-2282 about reserving books. Copies can also be purchased at Books on the Common at a 15% discount.
