Program Description

Description

The title for this month is Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave.

When her husband Owen disappears, he smuggles a note to his beloved wife of a year, which says: “Protect her.” His wife Hannah knows exactly to whom the note refers - Owen’s six-teen-year-old daughter, Bailey, who wants nothing to do with her new stepmother. Hannah quickly learns Owen is not who he said he was and is left to sort out the truth with just one ally – her husband’s teenage daughter. Together as they set out to discover who Owen actually is and why he disappeared, Hannah and Bailey build a future together in a novel of breakneck pacing, dizzying plot twists and evocative family drama.

Join us for Murder by the Book, the library's mystery book discussion group, which meets in-person on the first Thursday of the month from January through November with an option to participate via Zoom at 10:30 am. Participants will discuss a selected book from different mystery authors. For fans of mysteries of all kinds—from cozies to spy thrillers! This book discussion is led by Adult Services Librarian Kelly-Ann Gardella.

*You may also choose to attend the program online. Everyone who registers below will receive the Zoom link.

Many of the book discussion titles can be downloaded via the library's Hoopla or Overdrive services. Check for video instructions on using Hoopla. Print copies are available at the library for most book groups. Call 203-438-2282 about reserving books. Copies can also be purchased at Books on the Common at a 15% discount.

If you are participating by Zoom and have not received your Zoom link by the day before the program, please email lmbachmann@ridgefieldlibrary.org
