The title for this month is Matrix by Lauren Groff.

Cast out of the royal court by Eleanor of Aquitaine, seventeen-year-old Marie de France is sent to England to be the new prioress of an impoverished abbey. Marie is determined to lead and protect these women in a world that is shifting and corroding in frightening ways--will the sheer force of Marie's vision be bulwark enough?

Critics' Circle meets in person on the third Tuesday of the month (except December) at 6:30 pm for a discussion of new and classic titles. New readers are always welcome. This book discussion is led by Margaret Eustace.
