Program Description

Description

The title for this month is The Keeper of Lost Things by Ruth Hogan.

Anthony Pardew is the keeper of lost things. Forty years ago, he carelessly lost a keepsake from his beloved fiancée,Therese. That very same day she died unexpectedly. Brokenhearted, Anthony sought consolation in rescuing lost objects and writing stories about them. In the twilight of his years he worries that he has not fully discharged his duty to reconcile all the lost things with their owners. He bequeaths his life's secret mission and his house to his unexpecting assistant, Laura.

Critics' Circle meets in-person on the third Tuesday of the month (except December) at 6:30 pm for a discussion of new and classic titles. New readers are always welcome. This book discussion is led by Margaret Eustace.

Many of the book discussion titles can be downloaded via the Library's Hoopla or Overdrive services. Check for video instructions on using Hoopla. Print copies are available at the library for most book groups. Call 203-438-2282 about reserving books. Copies can also be purchased at Books on the Common at a 15% discount.
