Program Description

Description

This month's section is The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles

A story panning just ten days and told from multiple points of view, Amor Towles's third novel will satisfy fans of his multi-layered literary styling while providing them an array of new and richly imagined settings, characters, and themes. Emmet Watson, after serving time for involuntary manslaughter, is driven back the family farm in Nebraska only to head in the opposite direction for a fateful journey to New York City.

Critics' Circle meets in-person on the third Tuesday of the month (except December) at 6:30 pm for a discussion of new and classic titles. New readers are always welcome. This book discussion is led by Margaret Eustace.

Many of the book discussion titles can be downloaded via the Library's Hoopla or Overdrive services. Check for video instructions on using Hoopla. Print copies are available at the library for most book groups. Call 203-438-2282 about reserving books. Copies can also be purchased at Books on the Common at a 15% discount.
