Margaret Gibson, CT State Poet Laureate (2019-2022) Emerita, has published 14 books of poems and has received the Connecticut Book Award twice. She edited the anthology Waking Up to the Earth: Connecticut Poets in a Time of Global Climate Crisis.
Ines P. Rivera Prosdocimi is a poet, comparatist, and Caribbeanist. Her poetry collection Love Letter to an Afterlife was a finalist for the 2019 International Latino Book Awards. She is an associate professor at the University of Hartford.
David Thacker’s first poetry collection, Some Hard Stars, is forthcoming in April. He was selected by Tracy K. Smith for Best New Poets. David teaches at The Ethel Walker School, where he chairs the English Department.
Yexandra "Yex" Diaz is an award-winning poet, community leader and nationally recognized social justice advocate whose work lives at the intersection of art, education and culture. She is the New Haven Poet Laureate and 2026 CT Grand Slam Champ.
Pegi Deitz Shea is an award-winning author of poetry, fiction and nonfiction for young readers, and poetry and essays for adults. She is a two-time winner of the Connecticut Book Award and is current President of the CT Council of Poets Laureate.
