Join us online as we host five diverse and engaging Connecticut poets for an evening of poetry and community. Please register in advance to receive the Zoom link.Join us online as we host five guest poets whose work represents the quality and diversity of poetry in the Nutmeg State.

Katie Baker is a poet and artist, a library worker, an avid public servant, and a passionate outdoorsperson who does most of her creating in nature. She currently serves as the third poet laureate of Woodbury.

Sheryll Bedingfield is author of two poetry collections and has poems published in national and regional journals. She worked as a counselor and family therapist for 33 years, using art and poetry as therapeutic tools.

James Berger, formerly a Yale professor, has written six books of poems and is co-author of a poetry book for children. Jim plays euphonium in the Southern CT State U. Concert Band and trombone in the This Land Walking (for justice) Band.

Charles Cobean’s debut chapbook Lately will be released in March. Late to the Sky–a full-length collaboration with Canadian poet Josephine LoRe—will be published in April. His poems appear widely in journals and anthologies.

Julia Meylor Simpson’s poetry has appeared in Connecticut River Review, Blue Earth Review, and elsewhere. Retired from careers in teaching, newspapers, and corporate communications, she is on the board of Arts Cafe Mystic.
