Join us online as we host five noted Connecticut poets for an evening of poetry and community as we return to our monthly readings, usually scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month. Please register in advance to receive the Zoom link.

Ciarnan Berry is the author of four poetry collections: States, Liner Notes, The Dead Zoo, and The Sphere of Birds. His work has received a Whiting Award and many other commendations. He co-directs the Creative Writing Program at Trinity College.

Catherine DeNunzio is the author of Enough Like Bone to Build On. Her poems have appeared in many journals and anthologies, including Connecticut Literary AnthologyConnecticut River Review, and Waking Up to the Earth: CT Poets in a Time of Global Climate Crisis

Tom Lagasse, a life-long resident of Bristol, now serves as the town’s poet laureate. His poem “Open Field” was honored by the National Baseball Poetry Foundation, and his poem “My Mother the Shortstop” won the 2025 E. Ethelbert Miller Prize. 

Kashawn Taylor is a writer and educator whose poetry, fiction, and essays appear widely in journals and magazines. His full-length collection, subhuman, was released by Wayfarer Books in March. He currently teaches with Gotham Writers Workshop.  

Karen Warinsky is the author of four collections: Gold in AutumnSunrise RubyDining with War, and a new release, Beauty & Ashes. She coordinates spoken word events in MA and CT including at Roseland Park in Woodstock and The Vanilla Bean Café in Pomfret, CT.
