Join us online as we host an eclectic mixture of Connecticut poets for an evening of poetry and community, hosted by Ridgefield Poet Laureate Emerita Barb Jennes.
Terry Bohnhorst Blackhawk is the author of nine poetry collections, including Escape Artist (winner of the John Ciardi Prize), One Less River, and Maumee, Maumee, a chapbook. She is Founder/Director Emerita of Detroit’s InsideOut Literary Arts Project.
Charlie Chase’s poetry has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. Chase represented Connecticut in the International Poetry Slam finals in San Francisco and has self-published four volumes of poetry, all with the title Runway Lights.
Mike O’Leary’s poems often explore generational wounds and healing along with the rhythms of everyday life and shifting perspective. His work has been published in several anthologies. Mike recently moved from Chicago to West Hartford.
Brittana “Versatile Poetiq” Tatum is a spoken word and performance artist, recently named the poet laureate of Windsor. Now a teaching artist at the Charter Oak Cultural Center, she is focused on drafting her first book and recording her album.
River Ripa is a full time senior herbal copywriter, as well as a certified meditation guide, Reiki practitioner and herbalist. Her poems appear in many small publications and she has published a collection of poems, Of the Earth: Planetary Poetry.
