Join us online as we host five diverse and engaging Connecticut poets for an evening of poetry and community. Ridgefield's Poet Laureate Emerita, Barb Jennes, is the curator and facilitator of this series.
Leslie Bulionis a marine scientist, social worker, and author of nine illustrated collections of science and nature poetry. Her books have been honored by Bank Street College, NCTE Notable Poetry List, Parents Choice, and others.
Julie Choffel is the author of the poetry collections Dear Wallace and The Hello Delay, plus a handful of chapbooks. Her work often appears in respected journals and anthologies. She teaches at the University of Connecticut.
Brent Terry’s stories, essays, reviews and poems are widely published. He is the author of five poetry collections and is an accomplished spoken-word artist who collaborates with visual artists, musicians, and dancers.
Shawn M. Von Briesen is a poet, writer, spoken-word performer, and explorer of museums.
Jonas Zdanys is a bilingual poet, a translator of Lithuanian literature into English, and the editor of several international anthologies. He is the author of 56 books and currently serves as Poet in Residence and Professor Emeritus at Sacred Heart University.
