Join us online as we host five outstanding Connecticut poets for an evening of diverse poetry and community.
Margaret Plaganis is a visual artist, writer, educator, and passionate gardener. Her writing is published in Pure Slush Lifespan Anthologies and Wordpeace.co:, an online journal. She lives in West Hartford.
Jefferson Singer, a clinical psychologist, is the Faulk Foundation Professor of Psychology at Connecticut College. His first poetry collection, In Common Things, will be published by Shanti Arts Press.
John Stanizzi has authored 15 collections, most recently SEE and Feathers and Bones (Impspired Press). His work has appeared in more than 200 journals, and his poems are widely translated into Italian.
Marla Sterling began as an actor and director, segued into teaching, earned degrees in education and creative writing, then launched into storytelling. After teaching middle-school language arts, she turned to poetry.
Katherine Szpekman’s poetry appears widely in journals and anthologies and has garnered finalist and honorable mention recognition. She holds degrees in developmental psychology and nursing.
Hosted and curated by Ridgefield Poet Laureate Emerita Barb Jennes, Poems from Connecticut’s Four Corners readings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00.
