Join us online for a reading by outstanding poets representing each of the state’s four corners, plus one from the central Hartford area. Our April reading features Robert Cording, Louis Gabordi, D. Walsh Gilbert, Joan Hofmann and Elaine Nadal.

Hosted and curated by Ridgefield Poet Laureate Emerita Barb Jennes, Poems from Connecticut’s Four Corners readings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00.

Robert Cording has published ten collections of poems, the most recent of which is In the Unwalled City (Slant, 2022). He in the recipient of two NEA fellowships and has won two Pushcart Prizes in poetry.

Louis Gabordi is a retired educator. His work has been recognized by The New Millennium Writing Awards and published in Waking Up to the Earth: CT Poets in a Time of Global Climate Crisis and elsewhere 

D. Walsh Gilbert is co-editor of the Connecticut River Review. Her six poetry collections include Finches in Kilmainham and Ransom (both Grayson Books), [M]AR[Y] (Kelsay Books), and Deirdre (Impspired).

Joan Hofmann is Poet Laureate of Canton, CT. Her poems are widely published and include three chapbooks: Coming Back, Alive, and Alive, Too. A retired educator, she is an avid traveler, gardener, and hiker.

Elaine Nadal is the author of two poetry chapbooks: When and Sweat, Dance, Sing, Cut, (Finishing Line Press). Her work is widely published. Nadal delivered a TEDx talk on hope, poetry, and music.
