The title for this month is Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver, 2022.
This Pulitzer Prize Winning novel, set in the southern mountains of Appalachia, tells the story of a boy who has no assets other than his good looks, a caustic wit and fierce talent for survival. Demon survives crushing losses and comes to terms with his maturity.
The Critics' Circle meets in-person on the second Tuesday of the month (except December) at 6:30 pm for a discussion of new and classic titles. New readers are always welcome. This book discussion is led by Margaret Eustace.
