Program Description

Description

The title for this month is Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh, 1945

This novel follows the life and romances of the protagonist Charles Ryder, and most especially his friendship with the Flytes, a family of wealthy English Catholics who live in a palatial mansion called Brideshead Castle. The novel is set in the backdrop of the faded glory of the English aristocracy in the run-up to the golden age before the Second World War during the 1920s to the 1940s.

The A.M. Book Discussion meets in person with an option to participate via Zoom on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am (except for December). This book group will also not meet on the Wednesday before the Thanksgiving Day Holiday on 11/28/24.. The A.M. Book Group leader will set a date change for November. New readers are always welcome. Tom Madden is the facilitator.
