Ridgefield Conservation Commission: A Focus on the Future
While many residents have heard of the Ridgefield Conservation Commission they may not realize that this 11-member volunteer group is responsible for maintaining over 2,800 acres of open space, 55 miles of trails, and a myriad of other tasks. This talk will explore all the activities the RCC is engaged in and its mission to protect the natural resources of the Town. Chairman Jim Coyle will review its major initiatives (and concerns) for 2026 and beyond.
Jim, with nearly 50 years of experience, has worked for the New York City EPA where he was the Director of the Office of Environmental Impact and several engineering consulting firms directing environmental programs and studies for both government agencies and private industrial companies.
