Description
The title for this month is The Lincoln Highway by Amos Towles.
In June of 1954, 18-year-old Emmett Watson, released after serving 15 months for involuntary manslaughter, discovers that two friends from the work farm have hidden themselves in the trunk of the warden’s car and have hatched a different plan for Emmett’s future. Spanning just ten days and told from multiple points of view, Towles's third novel will satisfy fans of his multi-layered literary styling while providing them an array of new and richly imagined settings, characters, and themes.
The Founders Hall Book Group meets on the second Thursday of the month (except December) at 3:00 pm. This Book Group is open to Founders Hall members only. For more information about Founders Hall, click here. This book discussion is led by Andy Forsyth, the Ridgefield Library’s Assistant Director.
