RACE serves in an advisory capacity to Ridgefield's Board of Selectmen. RACE’s mission is to raise awareness, educate and bring about actions that can be taken to become smarter about energy use, be good stewards to our natural resources and reduce waste.

  • May 10 - Replacing Your Oil Furnace and HVAC with Geothermal with Beth Ingram - Do you dread seeing your oil delivery truck pull into your driveway every month, especially during these long, cold winter months? Are you concerned about the cost of heating and cooling your home?  By switching to geothermal, homeowners can reduce their dependence on fossil fuels and take a step toward energy independence. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, geothermal heat pumps are “The most energy-efficient, environmentally clean, and cost-effective systems for heating and cooling buildings.”

Ridgefield residents Chris and Beth Ingram, are passionate about helping homeowners transition from fossil heating systems to renewable geothermal heating and cooling systems. Chris Ingram is a Sustainability Investment Manager and Beth Ingram is a part-time teacher and full-time mom to their three children.
