Program Description

Description

The title this month is The House of Silk: a Sherlock Holmes novel by Anthony Horowitz.

Baker Street, London, 1890. A fine art dealer named Edmund Carstairs visits Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson to beg for their help. He is being menaced by a strange man in a flat cap - a wanted criminal who seems to have followed him all the way from America. In the days that follow, his home is robbed, his family is threatened. And then the first murder takes place.

Join us for Murder by the Book, the library's mystery book discussion group, which meets in-person on the first Thursday of the month from January through November at 10:30 am. ** Please note that the April meeting is on the SECOND Thursday of the month due to the Friends of Ridgefield Library Book Sale event.

Participants will discuss a selected book from different mystery authors. For fans of mysteries of all kinds—from cozies to spy thrillers! This book discussion is led by Adult Services Librarian Kelly-Ann Gardella.

Many of the book discussion titles can be downloaded via the library's Hoopla or Libby accounts. Check for video instructions on using Hoopla. Personal copies can also be purchased at Books on the Common at a 15% discount.
