Description
The title this month is Regeneration: a novel by Pat Barker.
Stressed by the war in 1917, noted poet, decorated war hero, pacifist, and protestor Siegfried Sasoon is sent to Craiglockhart Hospital, where his views challenge the patriotic vision of Dr. William Rivers, a neurologist assigned to restore the sanity of shell-shocked soldiers.
Critics' Circle meets in-person on the second Tuesday of the month (except December) at 6:30 pm for a discussion of new and classic titles. New readers are always welcome! This book discussion is led by Margaret Eustace.
Many of the book discussion titles can be downloaded via the Library's Hoopla or Libby accounts. Check for video instructions on using Hoopla. Personal copies can also be purchased at Books on the Common at a 15% discount.
