Join us for a ten-session course taking place twice a week called 🤟Everything you want to know to get started learning about Deaf Culture and American Sign Language (ASL).

Husband and wife team Suzanne and LeRoy Terrio will visually demonstrate:

- ASL Parameters

- The First 10 Rules of ASL Grammar

- Online Resources

- Q&A with a live Deaf person

*Interactively YOU will be able to ask W-H questions:

”What’s the Sign for________” (any Vocabulary concept & copy the modeling)

Dates: Mondays and Thursdays , July 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30, August 3, 6, 10, and 13 at 6 PM

Preparation and resources:

Come with your questions

Google: Bill Vicars free ASL University Lessons 1-10

Memorize the ASL alphabet handshapes (see attached pdf). 

Independent practice on your own time

Teachers:

Suzanne Terrio, EdM,MA,CSC is a court/legal interpreter, EdM from Columbia University TC, NYU MA, Nationally certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (R.I.D.) since 1986 

LeRoyTerrio graduated Valedictorian from the Louisiana School for the Deaf: BA from R.I.T., MBA Finance from PACE University.
