Program Description

Description

Please join us for the Library's first NaNoWriMo writing camp taking place every Wednesday evening during July. Participants can sign-up at NaNoWriMo to track progress, and get updates and tips from NaNoWriMo (optional). Participants must however register below to receive the Zoom link for the weekly library classes.

During Camp NaNoWriMo participants will set a word-count goal of their own for the month of July for any writing project they wish to work on. Each week we will focus on a different style of writing: short stories, poetry, memoir, script, and nonfiction. As a group we will look at an example of each type of writing, discuss writing tips and techniques, work on our individual writing projects, and share “samples” of our writing.

Please register below to receive the Zoom invitation for the weekly meeting. You only need to register for the first class in the series. The same Zoom link will be used for all five sessions.

This program is part of the Library's Adult Summer Reading program and is made possible thanks to the Friends of the Library. The class is led by the Library's Technology/Innovation Librarian, Kathy Pickle.
