Program Description

Description

The Young Writers' Conference is held to inspire creativity and excitement about creative writing. Children in grades 3-5 are invited to write with us! Our April series will focus on poetry.

Our first session will include a lecture from poet Barb Jennes. Our second and third sessions will include writing workshops with focused writing led by Ms. Heather. The final sessions of the series will conclude with a family-invited reception and author sharing from 5:30-6:00 pm.

We'll meet for three weeks, each week focusing on a new area of creative writing. You must be able to attend all three sessions in a series.

Writing materials will be provided to all attendees. If you'd like, you can bring your own notebook or laptop to write with. Due to high demand, Ridgefield residents may be given preference for this program.

This program is sponsored by Ridgefield's Joint Council of PTAs.
