Program Description

Description

This month's talk will be given by Jay Correia, Clinical Director and Physical Therapist at Professional Physical Therapy in Ridgefield.

In his work as a physical therapist, Jay treats patients experiencing a wide range of conditions, from posture-related strain and repetitive stress injuries to recovery following joint replacement and strokes.  This presentation will be an engaging and practical discussion on how everyday habits shape our long-term physical health and how we can be stronger in the future.

During the program, Jay will also share what to look for when selecting a physical therapist, including the importance of online reviews, the overall atmosphere and “vibe” of a clinic, and clear goal setting between therapist and patient.

Senior Voices is a free event and hybrid program. Individuals may attend in person or register via Zoom through the library. Participants are invited to enjoy light refreshments and conversation following the program.
