Description
Part of the Library's "Understanding Race" Initiative, this series for students in K-5 led by educators Kirsten & Lynn from the Anti-Racist Table will promote age-appropriate discussion about race and skin color, establish a common language surrounding race to build Racial Literacy, and set a framework for students to understand and engage in social justice.
Sessions 2, 4 and 5 is for Grades K-2 and registration will enable the student to attend the three sessions for this grade level:
- Friday, March 12: Grades K-2, Who Am I?
- Friday, May 14: Grades K-2, We Can Do Hard Things?
- Friday, June 11: Grades K-5, George Washington Carver Combined Session
Some sessions will have physical items to pickup from the Library, but participants will be contacted with this information and well as the Zoom meeting log-in information before each session.
If you are unable to attend a session after registering, please let us know.
Students in Grades 3-5 can register separately for their grade-appropriate sessions here.
