Program Description

Description

Ridgefield Parent Circles are small discussion groups facilitated by a mental health professional aimed at helping parents navigate key transitions in the lives of their children. Initiated in 2005 by our First Selectman and Schools Superintendent in response to some tragic local teen deaths, they have evolved over time from information sessions to peer resource and support groups.

Circles are offered each year to Kindergarten parents in the Fall, and to Fifth- and Eight-grade parents in the Spring. They are free of charge and sponsored by the Ridgefield Community Coalition Against Substance Abuse (RCCASA), the Ridgefield Library and the Ridgefield Council of PTAs.
