Program Description

Description

The title for this month is The Mill on the Floss by George Eliot.

Passionate, wayward Maggie Tulliver is constantly in conflict with her family. As she reaches adulthood, the clash between their expectations and her desires are played out as she finds herself torn between three very different men: her stubborn brother, a close friend who is the son of her family's worst enemy and a charismatic but dangerous suitor.

The A.M. Book Discussion Group meets in person with an option to participate via Zoom on the fourth Wednesday of the month (except December) at 10:00 am. New readers are always welcome. Tom Madden is the facilitator.

*You may also choose to attend the program online. Everyone who registers below will receive the Zoom link.

Many of the book discussion titles can be downloaded via the Library's Hoopla or Overdrive services. Check for video instructions on using Hoopla. Print copies are available at the library for most book groups. Call 203-438-2282 about reserving books. Copies can also be purchased at Books on the Common at a 15% discount.

If you are participating by Zoom and have not received your Zoom link by the day before the program please email lmbachmann@ridgefieldlibrary.org
