Program Description

Description

The book selection for this month is Long Island by Colm Toibin.

Author Toibin returns to the memorable characters of his 2009 novel, Brooklyn. In Long Island he gives us the story of a woman alone in a marriage and the deep bonds she rekindles on her return to the place and people she left behind, to ways of living and loving she thought she'd lost.

The Founders Hall Book Group meets on the second Thursday of the month (except December) at 3:00 pm. This Book Group is open to Founders Hall members only. For more information about Founders Hall, click here. This book discussion is led by Andy Forsyth, the Ridgefield Library’s Assistant Director.
