IRIDESCENCE / CMYK Color Theory (Colored pencil drawing) (all levels)
Iridescence is the lustrous rainbow-like play of color created by differential refraction of light waves that shifts as the angle of view changes (think soap bubbles, peacock feathers, mother-of-pearl shells, opals, scarab beetles). In colored pencil drawing, this effect is best achieved by using CMYK colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and the Key color - Black). In this course, we will cover the fundamentals of the mixing and blending of ONLY these four pigments to achieve any hue, value, tint and shade that exists within the visible color spectrum.
Please register for the first class only, and you'll be considered signed up for all.
