Program Description

Description

"You are about to enter another dimension, a journey into the wonderful world of my imagination. 'Ridgefield and Beyond' is a journey of two worlds, the first is the library, and the second is the wider world.

At the library, with sketchbook in hand and imagination engaged, I did many art projects in the class of the Renaissance woman, Moki Kokoris. Using colored pencils, I drew flora, fauna and fantastic creatures. I heard many memorable musicians at the Ridgefield Library, such as Pat Wictor, Michell Gedney, Reggie Harris, Greg Greenway and their music inspired my sketches of them. I immersed myself and channeled the emotional and physical expressions of the artists and reached that “one step beyond.”

From outside the library, I present to you sketches from the Peekskill Irish Festival, polo at the Conyer’s Farm Community, and various artists seen and heard on the internet. My work has been seen at the Library of Congress, the British Embassy in Washington DC, Women’s War Memorial, Walter Reed Hospital, The Pentagon and Dulles International Airport in Washington DC." - Ted Berkowitz
