Program Description

Description

Mortality over Muffins

Considering end-of-life wishes in an informal, thoughtful, (and even fun) way. If you can’t beat it, plan for it!

Mortality over Muffins is a café-style program led by RVNA’s Hospice experts and hosted by the Ridgefield Library.  The program is for all ages and the intent is simple:  to get everybody thinking and talking about end-of-life wishes and decisions – well before they happen.  If we take the time to do this now, it will make the end of our lives more meaningful and less stressful for both ourselves and our loved ones.  It will reflect who we are, what we want, and what is important to us.

Mortality over Muffins is a two-part program. Session 1 is for discussion, education, stories, and a little bit of homework. Session 2 is for participants to share their thoughts, progress, and experiences in the weeks following the first session. An expert in trusts and estate planning will also be available for questions that arise.

The sooner you start talking about this, the better you might feel!

Session Dates:

Part I:  Thursday, May 23, 2:00pm – 3:30pm
Dayton Program Room

Part II: Thursday, June 6, 2:00pm – 3:30pm
Dayton Program Room

Coffee and muffins will be served. The Mortality over Muffins programs are generously sponsored by the Union Savings Bank Foundation.

Please register. By registering for the first session you are automatically registered for both sessions. Space is limited, so please only register if you plan to attend both sessions.
