Description
To commemorate and celebrate the success of the Ridgefield Oral History Project, the Ridgefield Historical Society and Ridgefield CT Pride invite you and your loved ones to the Ridgefield Oral History Project Celebration & Conversation. It will be a time to come together, to celebrate and to share stories. Nationally renowned LGBTQIA+ historian, Susan Ferentinos PhD, will be facilitating an informal conversation with project participants. Appetizers and desserts will be served. For our interviewees, we ask you to bring some favorite pictures or memorabilia to share with attendees.
The goals of the Ridgefield Oral History Project are to record, preserve, and share Ridgefield LGBTQIA+ stories, which are underrepresented in the Ridgefield Historical Society’s collection; to foster intergenerational conversation; and increase civic pride and awareness. This project was made possible by a generous grant from CT Humanities. We are grateful to all who participated in this wonderful and meaningful project.
