Grades K–2Program Description
Description
Children in Grades K-2 can celebrate AAPI heritage month by learning about a traditional Japanese form of storytelling. Kamishibai, or "paper theatre," features large color pictures alongside a dramatic narration. We'll read a story about the tradition, explore a butai, a small, wooden theatre, and even make our own story cards to bring home. Registration is required and opens on April 22, 2024.
Programs like this are made possible in part by the generosity of our donors.
