Description
Discover the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystems and the growing challenges they face, from habitat loss to pesticide exposure. This presentation by RCC Commissioner Roberta Barbieri will explore how native plants support pollinator health and biodiversity, and offer practical tips for creating pollinator-friendly landscapes.
Roberta is currently Vice President of Global Sustainability for PepsiCo. She is an avid hiker and gardener and currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Woodcock Nature Center and is active in the Norwalk River Watershed Association and The Ridgefield Action Committee for the Environment (RACE).
This program is co-sponsored by the Ridgefield Conservation Commission and the Library.
The Caudatowa Garden Club will have a pop-up seed swap table set up outside this event, so bring your harvested seeds and take some away! Envelopes are available in the Library lobby.
