Program Description

Description

Pura Belpré was an accomplished storyteller as well as the first Latina librarian in New York City, which is why she has an important award named after her! Students in Grades 3-5 are invited to learn about her life and legacy. After, we’ll write our own folktales in her honor.

Registration is required and opens on September 9, 2024. Programs like this are made possible in part by the generosity of our donors.
