Program Description

Description

Claude Monet was the initiator and leader of a new Impressionist style, establishing himself as the undisputed master of Impressionism and one of the most influential figures in modern painting

In 2026, we commemorate the 100th anniversary of his death, reflecting on his legacy with his significant contributions to the art world.

Monet made groundbreaking discoveries about the use of color. His paintings, marked by rapid brushstrokes and luminous colors, initially sparked scandal and criticism among his contemporaries.

Despite this early controversy, his innovative approach paved the way for a new artistic language, opening the door to new artistic forms.

After exploring Monet’s painting style, we will visit his home in Giverny, renowned for its incredible garden. This site offers a deeper insight into the environment that inspired many of Monet’s masterpieces.
