Please note this exhibition will be up from December 1 through December 28. However, the gallery will be closed for the Library's Christmas holidays from December 25 through 26.

Artist's reception for "A Look Around: Paintings by Dennis Stevens." Of his artwork the artists states: "My work is traditional, representational and narrative in nature. Each painting has a story. Some stories are obvious, some are subtle and take time to unearth." It is the artist's hope that viewers will find their own story in his paintings and that they will be a source of delight.

Dennis Stevens Bio:

Born in a tiny town in Iowa, the son of a sheep shearer and housewife, the artist graduated from Drake University with a major in art, minor in advertising. Stevens held art director/creative director positions at LOOK Magazine, Lennen and Newell Pacific, Needham Harper and Steers, Doyle Dane Bernbach and Young and Rubicam. He has lived in Iowa, Texas, Alaska, Hawaii, Chicago and New York. Stevens has been honored with many painting, advertising, and illustration awards. He lives and works in Cranbury, CT
