Program Description

Description

On the night of July 4, 1776, printer John Dunlap used a printing press to create about 200 copies of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia. We'll learn more about this historical printing process, then make our own patriotic prints using gelatin printing plates and paint! Students will explore this process-oriented form of monoprinting by making stars and stripes prints to take home. Registration is required and opens on March 15, 2026.
