Accompanying Adults
This program is designed for children and accompanying adults. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child for this program. Drop offs will not be permitted.

Children ages 4 and 5 get together to enjoy activities that encourage pre-reading skills including recognizing rhyme, making predictions and drawing conclusions in stories. A craft and short film based on a picture book are included.
Yoga instructor Maxine Stone will share a favorite yoga-themed book then lead children in grades 3-5 in yoga relaxation exercises. Please bring a yoga mat or towel. Registration required.

Before Language Poetry, before Free Verse, there was form. Ancient and new. Received and reinvented. During this 5-week workshop, participants will play with various types of poems – from the sonnet to the sestina, the ghazal to the pantoum.
