Description
This hands-on workshop focuses on the methods and styles for writing novels and short stories. Dialogue, plotting, conflict and characterization styles will be discussed and insight into the publishing and submission process given. The majority of the course consists of in-class writing exercises and in-class critiquing by peers and instructor. The goal is to write at least one short story and/or the beginning chapter/chapters of a novel. Pre-Class Assignment: Write opening pages for a short story or novel and bring it to the first class for critiquing.
Registration is required and will incluse 3 sessions. . Class will meet from 6:30-8pm on Tuesday, May 7th, 14th, and 21st.
