Program Description

Description

Ridgefield Conservation Commission presents an exhibition titled, "Ridgefield's Natural Resources" which will be on view this summer in the Library's lower level gallery from July 13 - August 22 during regular Library hours. Please note the Library will be closed on summer Sundays. An exhibition of relevant photos and maps will be exhibited..

Ever wonder about what is beneath your feet, what watershed you live in or what creatures are out and about in the dark of the night? If so, come and explore this exhibition of maps and photographs. This exhibition is the culmination of over two years of work aimed at updating the Ridgefield Natural Resources Inventory, (NRI) which was last conducted in 2011.

There will be a talk on July 15 at 2 p.m. in the Library's Main Program Room about the most recent update of the Natural Resources Inventory (NRI). In addition, there will be a tour of a new digital story map created by PACE University student Madelyn Garcia, under the guidance of Professor Michael Rubbo. There will also be  information about how to become a trail ranger and other citizen scientists.
