Program Description

Description

This year the Ridgefield Independent Film Festival celebrates its 9th anniversary and will take place from May 16 through May 19, 2024 at various venues all around Ridgefield. The Ridgefield Library, one of RIFF's sponsors, will host an exhibition of RIFF movie stills from May 2 - 19 in the Library Gallery during regular Library hours to promote the film festival. RIFF seeks to make the world a more compassionate place through the sharing of stories through cinema.

RIFF celebrates independent films and filmmakers from around the world who create films that enlighten, entertain and inspire. Director Joanne Hudson founded RIFF in 2015 to present visual storytelling through film. Hudson holds an MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University School of the Arts. The featured movie still is a detail from "Ramona at Midlife" by Brooke Berman.
