Program Description

Description

Wilder's reputation as a talented multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter emerged in the Brooklyn indie rock scene of the late 2000s, where he was part of an experimental band named Yeasayer known for its psychedelic worldbeat and swerving electro-pop. Since 2019, Wilder has been performing on his own, painting an eclectic palette of synths, strings, and harmonies that are less influenced by looping electronic vistas. Looking to the music of his youth for inspiration, he is inspired by artists such as Fairport Convention, Cat Stevens, the Beatles, and Donovan. His resulting debut solo album, I Don’t Know My Words, was released in 2022.

The Ridgefield Folk Concert Series is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Ridgefield Library.
