Description

Joel Third, Art Collector, will welcome guests to a reception on Saturday afternoon, June 8 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm celebrating his collection of floral prints spanning five centuries. The reception will take place immediately after his lecture at 2:00 pm, "Floral Prints Through the Centuries, 17th - 21st" from 2:00 - 3:00 pm.

Flowers have always played a big role in our lives from the very beginning to our passing. We enjoy their natural beauty and the feeling of constancy and comfort they provide. This print exhibition explores the creations of a wide range of artists over five centuries who have produced beautiful flower images. The prints in this exhibit are from the Bettie Jane and Joel Third Collection.

Sponsors for this talk, exhibition and reception include: the host organization, The Ridgefield Library; refreshments from the Keeler Tavern Museum and History Center; labels and and framing from The Frame Shop of Ridgefield; flowers from Soar Together and poster from Gerry O'Hare Marketing and Design Group.
