Program Description

Description

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Sheri Miller writes and performs her soulful, inspired original songs, while accompanying herself on guitar and piano. To celebrate April Poetry Month, women in music, and the advent of spring, Sheri will perform “Love Songs and Poetry: From The Beatles to Judy Garland.”  She will recite poetry and sing popular classic favorites, by women like Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald, to Patsy Cline and Lady Gaga.  Sheri has released 2 critically-acclaimed records, “Mantra” and “Winning Hand,” as well as her original song ”I Could Love You Still” (feat. Will Lee, Paul Shaffer, Steve Cropper), among other singles.  In addition to writing and performing her own songs, Sheri has collaborated with, and opened for Grammy Award-winning legendary songwriters including J.D. Souther (Eagles), and opened locally for Norah Jones and Lady Gaga at Rockwood Music Hall.  She is excited and proud to be releasing a new EP in 2020, which was recorded in LA, NY and Nashville.   For more info visit www.sherimiller.com.
