Savings and Investment Options for Adults and Older Teens

The Ridgefield Library is pleased to have Carol Johnson, VP Branch Manager, Wilton office from Fairfield County Bank* and Elyssia Poland, Investment Representative from Fairfield County Financial Services** come and speak in person about Savings and Investment Options for Adults and Older Teens at the Ridgefield Library on April 20 at 7:00 pm during Money Smart Week, April 15 – 21, 2023. In this talk, participants will learn more about savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposits (CDs), and health savings accounts (HSAs) from Carol Johnson and brokered CD's, treasury bonds, short-term corporate bonds, mutual funds including low-risk mutual funds, and even unit investment trusts (UITs) from Elyssia Poland.

Carol

Carol Johnson, VP and Branch Manager of the Wilton branch office has been a part of the Fairfield County Bank family for more than 25 years.  Mrs. Johnson is responsible for the management of her team, cultivating client relationships, and connecting with the local community.  Carol has grown the Wilton branch office from when it opened its doors in 1998 to more than a $60M branch office.  She prides herself on her dedication to the community and the personalized relationship-based service she offers her clients and their families. Mrs. Johnson focuses on getting to know each of her clients’ individual needs and provides custom financial solutions that enable them to achieve their goals.  On any given day, Carol can be found supporting and volunteering at the numerous community events throughout Wilton.

 

Elysia

Elyssia joined the Fairfield County Bank team more than 25 years ago. She holds her Series 6,7, 63, 65 and 24 registrations. Elyssia is an Infinex Investment Adviser Representative with insurance licenses for life and health as well as fixed and variable annuities. In addition to her role as Operations and Compliance Manager of Fairfield County Financial Services, Elyssia has been a contracted Instructor for the Center for Financial Training and an adjunct IFS instructor for Norwalk Community College and Capital Community College focusing on financial education.
