Description
The title this month is Reykjavík: A Crime Story by Ragnar Jónasson, Katrín Jakobsdóttir.
In 1956, fourteen-year-old Lára spends the summer working for a couple on the small island of Videy, just off the coast of Reykjavík. In early August, the girl disappears without a trace. The mystery becomes Iceland‘s most infamous unsolved case. Thirty years later, journalist Valur Robertsson begins his own investigation and it soon becomes clear that Lára’s disappearance is a mystery that someone will stop at nothing to keep unsolved.
Join us for Murder by the Book, the library's mystery book discussion group, which meets in-person on the first Thursday of the month from January through November at 10:30 am. **** Please note that this April meeting is on the SECOND Thursday of the month due to the Friends of Ridgefield Library Book Sale event.
Participants will discuss a selected book from different mystery authors. For fans of mysteries of all kinds—from cozies to spy thrillers! This book discussion is led by Adult Services Librarian Kelly-Ann Gardella.
Many of the book discussion titles can be downloaded via the library's Hoopla or Libby accounts. Check for video instructions on using Hoopla. Personal copies can also be purchased at Books on the Common at a 15% discount.
