Program Description

Description

In celebration of Asian American and Native Hawaiian/ Pacific Islander Heritage Month the Ridgefield Library celebrates Children's Day! Children in Grades K - 5 will learn about Children's Day and make a Koinobori (Japanese carp shaped windsock).

Koinobori are made by drawing carp patterns on paper, cloth or other nonwoven fabric and flutter in the wind. In our project today we will use cardboard rolls and tissue paper to recreate the windsocks.
