Description

The library will hold a drop-in H.G. Wells film festival throughout the day from 11 am to 4 pm which will include three feature films and a documentary. Popcorn and drinks will be available. The movies and their start times are listed here:

11:00am The Invisible Man (1933) 71 minutes, NR    Description

12:15pm The Time Machine (1960) 103 minutes, NR   Description

2:00 The Island of Doctor Moreau (1977) 99 minutes, PG  Description

3:45 Future Tense- documentary (2016)  29 minutes, NR  Martians, Morlocks and Mermaids. To mark Wells's 150th birthday Dominic Sandbrook discovers how a sleepy corner of the country inspired some of the most fantastic ideas in science fiction.
