Program Description

Description

For families with children of all ages. If your child is interested in taking up a classical or band instrument, then join musicians and leaders from Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra (WCYO) for this informative and music-filled event. Local youth musicians share their musical journey - the joys, challenges, and opportunities that come with being a musician in Ridgefield. Joining them will be local music leaders to share the music programs available in Ridgefield - from music lessons to school programs to advanced performance opportunities. Youth musicians will demonstrate their instruments and fill the children's library with music. Performances will feature musicians from Ridgefield-based WCYO with a finale performance from chamber musicians from its Charles Ives Music Festival youth education program. No registration.
