Description
In Connection with LYL (Love Your Library) weekend, the Ridgefield Library and Books on the Common will partner with ACT of CT, Founders Hall, Ridgefield Independent Film Festival, Ridgefield Playhouse and Ridgefield Theater Barn for this fun and unique virtual fundraiser which will take place via Zoom.
The extraordinary presenters, Daniel C. Levine, Grace Weber, Geoffrey Morris, Allison Stockel and Pamme Jones will each champion a book they love. The audience will then place one vote each via a Zoom Poll for the most persuasive argument to choose a winning book. Copies of all books, including Jim Mustich’s, will be available for purchase through Books on the Common.
Donations will be solicited towards the Book Battle through the end of the event and will be matched by Fairfield County Bank. The winner gets bragging rights, a signed copy of 1,000 Books to Read Before You Die as well as half of all proceeds from the event (including ticket sales and donations) for the non-profit organization they are representing with the other half going to the Ridgefield Library.
